This charming coffee shop stands out by roasting its beans right on site, allowing visitors the rare and mesmerizing chance to witness coffee beans transforming from green to rich, aromatic brown. This commitment to freshness is palpable in every cup, creating a sensory journey that captivates from the very first sip.
Customers consistently praise Fog Hill for its warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive staff who make every visit feel personal and special. As Harold Hill aptly put it, the impressive display of “240# of beans sitting inside door to greet you” sets the tone for what’s inside—coffee crafted with care and passion. Whether you're craving a complex, dark roast or a creamy, decadent latte infused with unique flavors like red velvet, this coffee house delivers an exceptional palette of tastes that surprise and delight. Brandon Lefort’s experience perfectly captures this magic, finding a little gem far from the usual metropolitan hubs.
But the appeal of Fog Hill goes beyond coffee. For those who prefer tea or crave a comforting hot chocolate, the shop offers a lovely variety of teas and beautifully crafted hot beverages that warm not just the body but the soul. Jaci Siehl's review highlights the welcoming ambiance that encourages patrons to linger—spending time with family or friends over board games, making it more than just a coffee stop but a true community gathering spot.
Visitors have remarked on the genuine heart and dedication poured into every aspect of the business. Amber Vander Pol’s heartfelt words about the owner's connection to community and passion for quality resonate deeply, reinforcing Fog Hill as a local treasure. Luis Hernandez’s road-trip revelation that this small town could hold such a coffee jewel speaks volumes about its distinctive value.
Though some have noted opportunities for improvement—like extending hours and adding a phone line—these critiques only underscore the affection customers feel for the place and their desire to see it thrive further. It’s a rare spot where authentic craftsmanship meets a relaxed, friendly vibe, making every visit not just a caffeine fix but a memorable experience.
Fog Hill Coffee & Tea House is more than a coffee shop; it’s a discovery, a community hub, and a testament to the art of small-batch roasting and heartfelt service. Whether you’re a local or a traveler passing through Kamiah, it’s truly worth stepping inside and embracing the warm spirit brewing within these walls.

Coffees have been great lately. Fast service. Needs to be open earlier and stay open later. And get a phone.

I was extremely surprised to find such great small batch coffee way out here. I got a latte with a touch of red velvet, and my wife got an amazing flavorful tea. I bought a just roasted bag of "the usual" whole bean to take home. It was seriously that good. Highly, highly recommend stopping in or even ordering whole bean coffee sent to your house. Awesome little shop.

I don't drink coffee, but the best hot chocolate and variety of tes. Also, great gift ideas for your favorite coffee or tea drinker. Great place to hang out with family or friends to play board games.

One of the best coffee places in our 3 week road trip from Colorado. Who knew this little town had this gem. Just amazing! They roast their own beans on site! This is the only place I have been able to watch the coffee beans I purchased get roasted in front of my eyes. Talk about fresh beans! It's above and beyond all the old beans available at the store. Well be back in the summer!
